Muhallebi is an Arabic dessert. The main ingredients are milk, sugar, and flour. The origin of muhallebi is persia. This is really attractive and yummy. In modern times there are a lot variety in muhallebi.

There are even chocolate, vanilla, mango, pistachio and much variety of tastes in muhallebi. There is much difference in traditional muhallebi and modern muhallebi. Lets see how to prepare this tasty muhallebi from home.

For pudding

  • 3 Cup Milk
  • 1/3 Cup Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Corn flour
  • 1 Tsp Rose water

For syrup

  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Water
  • 1/2 Tsp Red food color
  • Pistachio To garnish


  • In a pan add milk, sugar and corn flour and mix well.
  • Turn on the flame and add rose water.
  • Stir constantly till thickened.
  • Pour it to serving glass and let it set for 2-3hours.
  • In a pan add sugar and water to make the syrup. Stir them well till sugar melts
  • Add red food coloring to the syrup and mix well. Turn off the flame and let it cool for two minutes.
  • After 2-3 hours, pour the syrup on top of the pudding.
  • Garnish with pistachio. Delicious muhallebi is ready.
