Rasmalai is one of the indian dessert item. This is really tasty and yummy . The name rasmalai is derived from the word rosh and malai. The word malai means cream.

These are sweet cake like item in cream. This cream is prepared with milk. The cake in this malai is like cheese balls. Lets see how to prepare tasty and easy Rasmalai.

For cheese balls

  • 1 Cup Milk powder
  • 1 Tbsp All purpose flour
  • 1 Tsp Baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp Ghee
  • 1 Egg

For malai/cream

  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 3/4 Cup Condensed milk
  • 1 Tsp Cardamom powder
  • 1/4 Cup Almonds Chopped
  • 1/2 Tsp Saffron


  • Take the egg and beat them well.
  • In a bowl add milk powder, all purpose flour, baking powder, and ghee and mix them well.
  • Add a portion of the beaten egg to this and mix again.
  • Add the remaining portion of egg and mix well to form a dough.
  • Make them into small balls and slightly flatten the centre like a patty.
  • In a pan add milk, condensed milk, and cardamom powder and mix well.
  • Add saffron and nuts and stir them well.
  • To this malai prepared add the patty prepared. Cook them for 2 minutes and turn off the flame.
