How to make Tasty Rava Kesari
Rava kesari is one of the Indian sweet dish. The ingredients used for making rava kesari are semolina, sugar and ghee.
The dish is originated in Karnataka. In Karnataka this dish is served as a breakfast dish.
While in other part of India it is a sweet dish, served as a dessert item.
The word Rava means semolina and kesari means saffron.
It is a dessert item prepared with semolina and for coloring saffron is added to it.
Now lets see how to prepare Rava kesari.
- 3/4 Cup Semolina
- 3 Tbsp Ghee
- 2 Cup Water
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 5-6 Cashew nut
- 8-10 Raisins
- 1/2 Tsp Cardamom powder
- 1/4 Tsp Red food color
- In a pan add ghee and semolina. Roast it in low flame for 2 minutes
- To this add water and sugar. Mix well.
- Add cashew nuts and raisins and stir continuously, till water gets evaporated.
- To this add cardamom powder and food color. Mix it all well. Rava kesari ready.
