Dilkush is one of the famous snack item which is seen in almost all bakery of south India. It is a simple easy dish with combination of tutti fruity, nuts and desiccated coconut. It is a sweet snack item. As the name says dil(heart) will be kush(happy).

Instructions
  1. In a bowl add all ingredients for the dough mix and knead well. Cover and let it rest for 1 hour.
  2. Take the dough and knead well again.
  3. Take half portion of dough and roll it with rolling pin to thin.
  4. In a tray place the rolled dough.
  5. In a bowl add all ingredients for fillings and mix it well.
  6. On top of the rolled dough spread the fillings.
  7. Roll the next dough and place it on top of fillings. Press the sides of dough so that it stick each other.
  8. Let the filled dough rest for 30 minutes.
  9. In a bowl mix egg yolk and milk, brush it of top of doubled dough.
  10. Preheat the oven 180℃. Place the dilkush and cook it till 30-40 minutes or till golden brown color.
  11. Take the dilkush and rub some butter on top of it to get the glazing look.
